'Political parties have also given themselves exemptions from privacy laws, allowing them to accumulate huge databases of Australian voters (all controlled by political staffers and party executives) with no accountability for the use and abuse of that information

They’re exempt from other laws like the Do Not Call Register, and laws dealing with false and misleading advertising they apply to everyone else engaging in advertising. And under parliamentary rules, politicians are prevented from using fora such as question time to inquire about party administrative and operational matters'.

Labor Budget costings release
 'A Shorten Labor government will provide genuine cost of living relief for working Australians and pensioners, not multinational tax avoidance.
We will make important social investments in Medicare, hospitals and schools, nation building infrastructure, and take real action on climate change.
Based on the forecasts and projections in the 2019 Pre-election Economic and Fiscal Outlook (Pefo), Labor will take to the election a budget that:

  • Achieves a budget surplus in 2019-20, the same year as the government;
  • Delivers budget surpluses over the forward estimates over 40 per cent larger than the government, and bigger surpluses over the medium-term;
  • Achieves strong surpluses of 1 per cent of GDP by 2022-23, four years earlier than the current government trajectory; and
  • Uses the $87 billion in bigger surplus over the medium term to pay down more debt.
This is the social and economic dividend of the tough decisions taken to end and rollback the tax loopholes that benefit the wealthy and the top end of town.
Labor’s policies are fully costed and we are funding our priorities through a package of measures to make multinationals pay their fair share and close down loopholes for the top end of town. These include reforms to managing tax affairs, trusts, negative gearing and dividend imputation refundability'.

"Shorten said while Labor had campaigned to “save Medicare” at the 2016 election, its message in the home stretch of the 2019 campaign will be to “build Medicare”.
He announced that, if elected, Labor will spend $2.4bn to give three million older Australians on the aged pension or commonwealth seniors’ health card $1,000 of free dental care every two years.
Poor dental care can “undermine your quality of life, your self-confidence, your basic dignity”, Shorten said, arguing that the policy would prevent older Australians delaying care.

Foreign political donations and Australia gun law. According to the Guardian, Mar 26, there is evidence of ON's James Ashby, who was filmed seeking $20m from NRA (America gun lobby grp) to weaken Australia's gun laws.

Simply put: A vote for LNP is a vote for PHON
A vote for PHON is a vote for weakening Australia gun laws
 Weakened gun laws = more deaths

Update:  There are calls for Anning to be charged because he punched the boy twice after being egged (media footage).  There are also calls for those involved to be charged.  The men used unnecessary force to restrain the boy, who was released and was not charged.  The investigation is on-going.
16 Mar 2019
The next day: Anning and the boy.  While we are waiting for the incident to be investigated, the article 'the land of the fair gone' by Mike Calton in TSP on the 31st of Mar 2018 has revealed:
"Much of the mainstream media are on the same bandwagon,
chiefly at Murdoch’s News Corpse, where vendetta journalism has become an art form".

Based on sources from Denise Shrivell: 2019 Fed Election Policy Comparison - Major Parties (can form Government) and my observation, I believe that the current government will lose. They have failed in economic management (ref.1. the myth of selling off public assets and the Liberal claiming surplus and 2. double the nation's debt over five and a half years). Their management style seems in favour of their big rich mates and looking after themselves. That they spend big on promises in the election campaign is seen through for their intention for the incoming Labor government to be blamed. Watch out the Liberal's 'old bag of tricks' as pointed out by Paul Bongiorno in The Saturday Paper on Mar 9:
'The Christmas Island plan can be seen as nothing more than a brazen stunt. Far from the hyped flood, as of March 5 there have been no applications for medical transfers. Morrison, at an estimated cost of $60,000 to taxpayers, even took a planeload of journalists to visit the vacant facility. But a key Labor strategist says Morrison’s desperation to get “boat people” back on the agenda has lost potency. “There’s nothing new in it,” he says'
Insiders 27 nov 2016: debt record 461B + losing AAA rating

Another example is of Fraser Anning - PHON dysfunctional political party's letter re: the shooting in ChCh.  He is desperate to hold on to the seat that he was actually not voted in. He received only 19 votes and then replaced Malcolm Roberts who got 77 votes.  Anning was in the senate because of 229,056 qldvotes for PHON. In fact, PH received 20,927 votes.  According to parliament website, Senator expiry service, his seat will be expired in the federal election expected in May 2019.  It is not suprised why Anning (now running as an independent senator, qld) has no shame at dog whistling of race, religion and division.

And another (Mark Latham interview #60mins and Aboriginal DNA testing) took place just a few days ago.  I guess that the federal election date is expected to be called following the NSW state election (just few days away) and the federal budget in April.  According to the article The end of Fairfax as we knew it by Magaret Simon, exLiberal Treasurer, Peter Costello is Chair of Ch9 (and an owner of the Australian Financial Review?).  Amy Remeikis in the Guardian on Feb 27 also pointed out:  Coalition changes rules to let MPs have an additional $22m to run TV and radio ads at the upcoming fed election.  AshGhebranious 5 Mar #auspol: Coalition spend over $250,000,000 on advertising since Turnbull coup.  It looks like that the Coalition is desperate trying to hold on to power and their self interest.  The parliament has been shut and my note on 2019 sitting schedule shows that there are only 13 days sittings between 27 Nov 2018 and May 19.

Parl Pension revealed by John Wren in IA:
Christopher Pyne and Steve Ciobo's retirements just weeks before the federal election 2019.
'They are NOT retiring, both will likely move into lucrative private sector roles. In fact, both have probably already got them set up. The rats are most definitely leaving the sinking ship. Leaving now, also ensures they both maximise their ridiculously generous defined benefit pension scheme. The scheme calculates the pension based on the prior three years’ average salary.
If both spend a year or so in Opposition at significantly reduced salaries, that will have a major impact on their pension, so better to go now, to maximise trough feeding potential.
These pensions have also enraged voters. Pyne will take home $220k a year and Ciobo $187k a year for the rest of their lives, regardless of whatever other income they may have. It is the same scheme that allowed the arch-leaner Joe Hockey to draw his massive pension, while also drawing a massive salary as US Ambassador. Hockey recently commented to Jon Faine on ABC Melbourne that he still had to struggle with school fees and so on. Unbelievable really.'
